The pacing in this is incredible. I love how the horror isn’t just about the murders, but about the silent understanding growing between Braden and Meredith. The shift from her watching the tapes to finally locking that gate was such a powerful moment. It’s a tragic, twisted form of healing. Also, the description of the ‘unnatural symmetry’ of the vegetables really set the mood. 10/10 cheers!

this story was promising and I can tell that there was heart put into it! I do have a few critiques, however. most glaringly, the portrayal of Hispanic characters felt a bit… stereotypical. I don’t claim to know anything about the author, though, so I won’t say anything I can’t justify. another big issue is the author’s tendency to sort of over explain and tell the reader everything happening. in literature, it’s better to leave more things up to the imagination than explain the small details (like clothes), because over explaining can really take you out of the story, and it feels really amateur. I really liked the premise and the characters, though! lots of potential!

Honestly, even though this story has its moments, it’s not too bad. I enjoyed the dramatic storytelling and got a good laugh out of some of the elements of it that didn’t age well (Like Troy and Keith casually pulling a glock on Jeff and the adults doing nothing lol)

I really enjoyed reading 'The Black Bone Tree' I think it is very good but I think it could've been longer and I know that might be the only information you have but I do think it could be longer, other than that it was very good it was scary enough but it wasn't to the point where you'd get goosebumps and have nightmares but to someone people this might be TOO much but for me, I think it is just enough, but I still found it very enjoyable.

Nice, but a bit short, could have added more stories of how other ghosts died. Also all the passengers seeing it would mean it wouldn’t be a “secret” for long. You could say that the ghosts only appear to people who “belong to the railroad” or something (as it was “the railroad” that was cursed, and also it could have almost become a living being itself)

Nice, but it might be better if you make this a “historic” case from, say, 2003, and the videos are on Mini DV tape which you can’t easily transfer to a computer nowadays. If somebody in a missing persons case had modern digital video files that could be clues, they wouldn’t transcribe them, they’d upload them.

Sorry, but I hope that disclaimer at the start isn’t a way for you to get back at people who criticise you for raiding your Thesaurus for every 100-dollar word available. There’s no other reason that should even be there.
And for someone who claimed this story would be in simple English, you can’t seem to stop yourself from being overly florid in every sentence. No one talks like your characters do, and that’s not a good thing.

Listened to this on Chilling Tales podcasts. This was by far the most annoying story I’ve heard. An older person that sounds like a teenager, trying to then make teenage slang sound good. I wish the podcast put time stamps on when stories started, I would have skipped this one five minutes in.

This is brilliant. And quite an intense read, once I started I couldn’t stop until I reached the end. At the beginning I thought I had an idea of what was going to happen but that was quickly proven wrong, it went in a completely unexpected but really fascinating direction. I love the level of ambiguity throughout, not just with plot but with the characters themselves. I use to live down the road from this place and I remember the steps and where they were killed there was a red stain and a unplesnt feeling everytime I was there. I lived at 7289 w.thomas rd farrell’s auto body was my dad’s shop I miss living there I was 12 when we moved. Honestly, this creepypasta really makes a mockery of mental illness. People aren’t driven to insanity because they’re bullied and harmed. Plus, it doesn’t just HAPPEN all at once. This creepypasta is highly overrated and I don’t recommend it.

Well written story! It still makes me mad though bc the little girl was a brat. 😑 I really didn’t feel any sympathy for her. I felt bad for the mother.
