“Hi, My name’s Hailey, but most people know me as Justhegirlnextdoor! I’m associated with the pen name Hailey Henson, and I love writing everything horror. Writing is something that I’ve always been passionate about. From the moment I was able to pick up a pen and form words, I have loved it. I was the weird kid in class who got excited over writing, regardless of what it was (research papers, essays, etc.) I can’t say exactly when I realized that I was even remotely good at writing, but I do remember how I felt when I wrote. Freedom. It was feeling like I could escape everything around me for just a little bit, and be anywhere but reality. More times than not, writing has been my saving grace when I’ve needed it the most. Pen and paper have always been my solace.
“Despite being a seasoned writer, I didn’t start writing horror stories until June of 2023. It was at that time that I finally joined Reddit, and fell in love with a subreddit called “NoSleep.” Despite being new to the horror genre, I practically grew up on horror stories/movies! For as long as I can remember, I have always been interested in the unusual and unexplainable aspects of the paranormal/supernatural. Outside of horror, I enjoy writing sci-fi, romance, and psychological thrillers! When I’m not writing, I’m probably reading, baking, tending to my chickens, or exploring nature.”
